Double dippers

Post by drive4show on Fri Dec 09, 2011 10:13 pm

First topic message reminder :

It would be handy to know who the 'double dippers' are as I'm sure we'll have requirements in the future to get messages over to the dark side. I'm not banned over there (at least I don't believe I am, not tried signing in since I left) but I won't be posting anything over there on principle.

But I'm sure we will be arranging socials and meetups and it would be good to get the 'darksiders' along to them as well.

So who will be double dipping please?

Will do.

I'm finally about to get on the plane. I can almost smell the trolley dolly's make-up so it's over and out.

Reply from Mac, in a nutshell, "not yet".

Although I get the impression he's biding his time to see how it goes over there.

ie - he will see if he gets the MOD job he so craves, if not he will consider coming over here!

This is dumb. Mac turned down a direct request to be a Mod. Grow up people.

Navy you're not going to be able to calm people like that.

Opinions are like that... people have them and they have a tendancy to cling to them. In this particular case it seems that it was formed out of the complete change of viewpoint that Mac demonstrated on the other site. It did come across to an observer as going from the rebel to a complete conformist in the hopes of gaining something.

Whilst I believe what you're saying I can also understand why people think it is all for some specific reason.

Does sound a bit Nazi when phrased like that I guess. What I meant was, he was asked if he'd consider the position but he turned it down.

Double dipping while all is quiet temporarily on the front. An outside observer might have viewed the first phase of the war as subconscious premeditated sabotage.

double dippers

Post by dewsweeper on Sat Dec 10, 2011 4:19 am

Hi,
I will be DD'ing for a while to see what it be like when the dust settles.
I inadvertently started a storm yesterday on 606v2 with my 'Has war broken out thread.'
Really annoyed to see a good forum go 'ape',I just love golf interaction on the web.

Most bothered to see my thread of yesterday on 606v2 seems to have been zapped, how are golfers like myself to understand the rights and wrongs of this argey bargey?I must say this smacks of censorship of the worst kind.
Hope we get back to proper golf topics soon.

dew

We WILL get back on the straight and narrow, our destiny is in our own hands now as we have the admins 'on the payroll' so to speak. The admins lost control on the darkside because we didn't know them and they didn't know us so there was no understanding on their part of personalities on the board. Now we have guys that are part of the family, they should be able to give anyone that steps out of line a clip round the ear and get order restored pronto.

I'm looking forward to some good healthy debate and lots of banter and leg pulling on here.......just like ye olde days.

Not sure I like the phrase 'double-dipping' - it either refers to the recession or sharing your woman with another bloke in a porn-stylee scenario afro from the 1970s
